Resource Tags

Tags are lightweight labels for cross-cutting categorisation. Folders are hierarchical; tags are flat and many-to-many.

Creating a Tag

  1. Open the Tags panel in the Resources view.
  2. Click New Tag.
  3. Name, optional colour, optional description.

Applying Tags

  • Select one or more resources and drag onto a tag.
  • Or inline — the Tags column on the grid shows chips; click + to add one.

Behind the scenes this creates a ResourceTagMapping row connecting the resource to the tag.

Suggested Tag Schemes

  • Supplier — for your preferred vendor names.
  • Region — when one rate library covers multiple markets.
  • Certification — e.g. MBE, EPD-verified, Low-carbon.
  • Statusactive, under-review, superseded.

Tag-Based Filtering

Use tags to:

  • Filter the resource grid.
  • Filter the sell rate view.
  • Export a CSV of "all resources tagged X".
  • Drive a custom report (PDFs can filter by tag).

Tag Limits

  • Tags are organisation-wide (not per project).
  • A resource can carry any number of tags.
  • Tags can have colours to drive UI badging.
