Installing and Launching TX1

Installation
- Run the TX1 installer (
Tx1.Installer.exeor the MSIX package provided by your administrator). - Accept the EULA.
- Choose an installation folder (default
C:\Program Files\TX1for per-machine, or%LocalAppData%for per-user). - On first launch, TX1 creates its application database in
%LocalAppData%\TX1\data\.
Tip
Warning — Do not move or rename the database file while TX1 is running. Use the Backup / Restore tools in section 18.2 instead.
First Launch
On first launch you will see:
- Splash screen — database initialisation, migration check, licence validation.
- Login window — create the first administrator account (or sign in if one exists).
- Main window — empty Projects view ready for your first project.
Updates
TX1 checks for updates automatically on launch when your account has an active internet connection. The update mechanism uses Velopack and installs silently on exit.
Manual update check: Settings → Updates → Check Now.
Licensing
TX1 validates a licence at startup. If the licence is missing or expired, you will be redirected to the Licence screen. Contact your administrator for a seat. See also section 15 on admin tasks.
