Application Settings

Open Settings from the left nav or the user menu. Settings split into Application (admin-owned) and User (per-user preferences).

Database

SettingPurpose
Database LocationPath to the SQLite file. Changing this requires restart.
Shared Database ProfileEnable / configure multi-user shared database.
Backup ScheduleAutomated backups — daily, weekly, custom.
Backup LocationWhere backups are written.

Branding

SettingPurpose
Company NameUsed on PDF reports.
Logo PathUsed on PDFs and splash.
Primary ColourAccents UI and PDFs.
Default CurrencyPre-filled on new projects.
Default Tax RatePre-filled on new projects.

Reporting

  • PDF default options (which sections, charts, watermarks).
  • Draft watermark text.
  • Excel export style preset default.
  • Report footer template.

Carbon

  • Default emission scope (for new emissions).
  • Default data quality rating.
  • Lock verified rows toggle.
  • Default carbon allocation method for apportioned overheads.

Security Policy

  • Minimum password length.
  • Password complexity requirements.
  • Failed login lockout threshold.
  • Lockout duration.
  • Password rotation interval (optional).

Integrations

  • SMTP for email (password reset).
  • Shared database host / credentials.
  • Master library file drop location (for auto-import).

Updates

  • Check for updates on launch (default on).
  • Channel: Stable / Beta.

Licensing

  • View current licence.
  • Activate / deactivate a seat.
  • Offline activation code (for air-gapped installs).

Diagnostics

  • Log level (Information / Debug / Verbose).
  • Log location.
  • Crash reporting opt-in.
  • Send diagnostic bundle to support.

Admin vs Non-Admin

Most Application Settings require admin permission. Non-admin users see a read-only version.
